A rare Stylised sculptural relief of a peacock by Giovanni Schoeman (C1940-1980)

Giovanni was born in Pretoria,South Africa in 1940 and studied at the Johannesburg School of art,

RSA,the Rawnsley Academy,London,the Academy of Arts and Crafts,Holland and the Brera Academy,Italy.

Commissions included sculptures for Rolls Royce,and a life size bust of the Sheik Adula Al'Burikain of Saudia Arabia.

He also completed a life size bronze of Sylvester Stalone for the film "Rocky 2".

This supurb and rare sculpture of a peacock,is exceptionally detailed,deconstructed into core parts with severe geometric representation.

Made from 'Cold Cast Metals' - Brass, Copper, and White Metal.

Framed on original Hessian base.
